Amy was smart but she always acted like she was smarter than everyone else AND always right. The president putting her in her place AND defending his wife from Amy, even though they were fighting, was a great show of character and humbling. The first time we see Amy’s poor character was her first appearance; where she screwed Josh (literally) and then did it politically the morning after by dumping his phone in pasta sauce while she was on a phone call (to screw him) is evidence of that.

I can't stand her ... but that was her best moment.

The real problem here is that Amy is not representative of anybody. Neither is josh but at least he works for someone who is elected to represent the people. So when Amy says anything about what she stands for and who she represents, she is speaking out of her ass. It's the same as if I were to make an NGO called "the human society" and claim that I speak for all humans. She's just a grifter.
